Jessie McLean
Jessie McLean began writing poetry in childhood as a way to process the early symptoms of bipolar disorder. After a long hiatus, she returned to writing as a therapeutic practice to manage anxiety, particularly around death and grief. Her work is intimate, emotional, and rooted in personal experience. McLean describes every poem she writes as, in some form, a love letter to her husband. Through poetry, she seeks clarity, connection, and solace.
